Vista disk usage – $INPLACE.~TR and $WINDOWS.~Q folders

After upgrading Windows Vista Business to Enterprise you can find two hidden directories which contains files by the upgrade. These folders are safe to delete if you have not lost any files in the upgrade process.

Windows’ Disk Cleanup tool can also remove this folders and files if you check the “Files discarded by Windows upgrade”check box.

Consider also downloading the CCleaner from ccleaner.com which will go beyond Windows’ disk cleanup tool.
